A key incentive to attract new businesses to the area will be the provision of low carbon energy (heat networks) and high speed broadband. There is a proposal to co-locate these utilities in a service trench that will gradually be expanded to serve most of the Enterprise Zone. The first stage of this network will enable the existing energy centre in South Redcliffe to provide energy to Temple Meads North. A new energy centre will then serve the arena until Phase 1 of the Temple & Redcliffe heat network can be all connected. The network will then be gradually extended from these two facilities, with new energy centres potentially being added.
