Higher Education Statistics Agency
Overview
The UK agency HESA aims to collect data that will benefit the higher education (HE) sector and society as a whole. Citizen Space helps HESA achieve it's consultation requirements in all three of it's key fields.
- Annual update process enables year-on-year changes to be made to any of the HESA records. This is done to ensure that the record continues to reflect changes within the sector and the changing requirements of users. HESA will normally review each record annually, unless the record falls into the scope of the other two review types.
- Major review is a substantial investigatory project that offers a fundamental review of a record. These reviews typically take a year to complete and can review what information is collected and also the fundamental design of a record.
- Post-implementation review follows the implementation of changes resulting from a major review and usually takes place following the first collection of the updated record. It aims to assess whether the business case is delivering, and to fine-tune changes made as a result of the major review.
